Maintaining established order in teams that have no “bosses” or no one to manage them, in the so-called traditional model, requires a great deal of self-responsibility, maturity, drive and willingness from everyone on such a team. This is not always easy, especially when our egos dominate and we think we are infallible, the best and in general “the best.”
Of course, thinking well of ourselves is very important, because it is our thoughts that create reality, however, a highly developed ego can mess up teamwork a lot, so in a joint initiative we take extra care of self-discipline, because without it we would not move forward.
π How do we do it?
By very simple methods. π First, we listen to what each of us has to say, and as you know we meet often. π We are not late for meetings, and if something falls out for someone, the information is given well in advance. π We prepare for daily, planning or review, so we don’t waste time thinking about what to say. π We respect each other, keep an eye on meeting times and topics that are discussed.Of course, we have a moment for so-called loose topics, but once the main scope is discussed. π We communicate effectively in notes and read them with understanding. All with great respect for the other person. Each of us knows well that the effective circulation of information depends on proving our goals.We are a close-knit team that cares about mutual success, and self-discipline helps us achieve it.
I myself believe that honesty and openness of communication is our greatest asset (right after self-discipline) π. No one has to watch or rush anyone, because through frequent interaction we know what stage of the task our teammate is at. This allows us to synchronize all elements of the project in a very fast way, so that they are done on time π.
As colleagues in a competence organization, we pay a lot of attention to this. Besides, we are young passionate and energetic people who want to co-create a cool company π. This doesn’t mean that we don’t face difficult situations in our daily cooperation, but thanks to everyone’s commitment and discipline we effectively work on solutions. Personally, I don’t like the word “difficult.” For me it is always a challenging day π πͺ.

VMware Summer Partner Day sprinkled with summer rain.
Success or fiasco?
An outdoor event should take place in the sunshine. The word summer obliges, evoking only warm feelings. The weather is not under our control, but the atmosphere that was created already is, and this one was excellent π.
Provocatively, I started with the rain, although it only added to the charm of the event. The most important thing was the emotions with which I left the meeting, because it is we the people who are the most important. We are the ones who have the power to make and create what surrounds us.

Building relationships, is the key to success and I will, repeat it like a mantra. At INDEVOPS we know this and we don’t have to build it, because, it just happens.
The VMware Summer Partner Day meeting was supposed to look exactly like this π.
Beautiful, smiling people, from small-talk to discussions, exchange of positive thoughts, integration on full π You could sense that there was a hunger for the other, all natural.
I have a feeling that on a daily basis we often forget that in business it can also be spontaneous and relaxed.
That’s how I felt, and so it was. The smell of flowers, the warm evening, the bustle. Everything I was looking forward to, I got.
We were beautifully hosted by VMware, and the Tranquil restaurant was not like that at all that evening, and that’s a big plus π.
Although here with the CEO we have a different feeling, because Pawel Orzechowski thinks it was peaceful. Well, we’re both right, because individual experiences count and that’s great!!!
Women in IT by Arrow meeting behind me. Interesting lectures, new solutions and friendly atmosphere. π Β It made me think that maybe the whole IT world is not rosy πΈ for us women, and the statistics do not always speak in our favor, but there is a lot of space for us, and as we know nothing difficult for a wannabe π You have to act!!!
I was recently invited by colleagues to the DEV department, but I like my marketing too much to rebrand myself as a coding specialist π However, my professional path led me ultimately to IT. π And I feel like a speeding bullet here, well good in the water for now π. There’s a bit of work ahead of us cupcakes to break through in this heavily male-dominated industry, but also a light in the tunnel that there are more and more of us. We act boldly, we have a lot of knowledge, strength and clout. We choose the technological areas we are interested in, where we want to work, develop and train.
We act in the IT field, doing what we want and how we want without regard to the stereotypes in society. We are fulfilling our dreams and that’s the way it should be π. Apparently, these wings (pictured) give power and thanks to them we get a real rush to fly! That’s what I’ll stick to.
I will add that in INDEVOPS is also growing every year, us girls. With us there has always been a balance in this regard, not only because the world forces diversity. Our “FO” girls are now in their fourth year, because they know that at our company it is important to have teamwork and openness to all regardless of gender. The most important thing on the wendor-partner line is positive flow and good vibrations.
We don’t lack such, so we took advantage of the invitation to Wednesday’s VMware Summer Partner Day at Warsaw’s Spokojna Restaurant.
We’re going to share our knowledge and experience there, and have a good time at the same time. πSummer time is a great opportunity for that.π πΈ π.
I love the feminine energy. Women are extremely inspiring and wonderful!!! I know, I know, it’s not women’s day, but there’s a lot going on around girls right now, including in the IT world.
There are more and more of us in this heavily male-oriented industry, and it’s mega!!!
